English Studies Conferences

Throughout my studies at the University of Luxembourg, I was given the opportunity to participate in a variety of conferences that were included in our study programme. These conferences included elements of both the fields of literature and linguistics, which would either expand upon topics that have been (or will be) studied throughout the course of the academic year, or topics which were related to the fields, but were not available within our regular study curriculum. Having been given the chance to take minutes in one of said conferences, it was interesting to take note of not only the content of the conference, but also the teaching styles and approaches used by the various professors that had come to present from various universities outside of Luxembourg.

The following is a list of all conferences that I have attended, in order of date of attendance.

1. Romanticism and Periodical Studies (Eliza O'Brien & David Stewart) - October 22, 2016

3. Corpus Linguistics (Hilary Nesi & Sheena Gardner) - December 3, 2016
